Objective

Integrate multiple sensing modalities (LiDAR, cameras, other perception hardware) into a constrained robot envelope while maintaining alignment under vibration.

Constraints & Environment

• High vibration and shock from warehouse operation and impacts
• Tight mechanical envelope around other robot subsystems
• Required lines-of-sight for sensors and safety coverage
• Harness routing and strain relief for sensor wiring
• Need for tool access in the field

My Role

• Designed rigid, datum-controlled mounting hardware to keep perception stack aligned
• Drove serviceability: fastener access, repeatable repositioning, minimal re-calibration
• Released production-ready drawings to vendors, working within Arena PLM for traceability

Manufacturing / Release

• Balanced machined features vs. sheet/formed components for speed and cost
• Reduced unique hardware types to simplify assembly (DFA)
• Captured design intent and change control through formal release process
